MY BEADED HEART

Mark around Heart Template on print fabric folded double, right sides together.

Using a small machine stitch, sew on the line, leaving open where indicated.

Cut out and turn, clip carefully into the V at the top of the Heart.

Fill narrow base of Heart with toyfill.  Using a funnel or small spoon feed Lavender or Potpourri into side opening.

Fill the rest of the shape with toyfill and ladder stitch closed.

Using the Face shape, cut 1 from Cardboard and 1 from Pellon.

Cut 1 shape in your Face Fabric  and run a gathering thread around the edge.

Place Pellon and the cardboard together and centre on the Face Fabric.  Pull gathering thread tight and tie securely.  I suggest you use a lacing stitch to pull the fabric taut.  This makes the face painting easier.

Paint a face as simply or as detailed as you wish.  Use the braid, lace or fabric to create a turban by simply wrapping and stitching.

Bead and decorate to your satisfaction.  Find the angle that you would like the Heart to hang from so you can stitch the face on, in the correct position.

I beaded around the edge and made a beaded hanger and tassel.  Ribbons, braids and lace can look great as well.
